Coral Springs Covered Bridge
The Coral Springs Covered Bridge is a historic landmark located at 4500 Northwest 95th Avenue in Coral Springs, Florida. Built in 1964 by Coral Ridge Properties, the covered bridge served as the entrance to the new City of Coral Springs and was a key feature in showcasing the future style of the city. Designed in a colonial style by George Hodapp, the 40-foot bridge has a single steel span that crosses N.W. 95th Avenue. Originally painted barn red to convey a sense of the Old South, the bridge has since been restored and now stands as the only covered bridge in the state of Florida in the public right-of-way. The Coral Springs Covered Bridge has been designated as a Florida Heritage Site Marker in recognition of its architecture and historical significance to the state. Visitors can stop by and explore where the history of Coral Springs began. Please note that the Coral Springs Covered Bridge is open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
