"Chef Jason is highly talented and truly has passion for his cooking. The beautiful thing about humans is the fact that traditions and recipes are passed down from generations, the problem is many don't appreciate or respect what's passed to them. Not the case with Chef Jason, it's obvious that he has allowed the passion and care for culinary art to inspire him to continue Mama Mavis's proud legacy. Mavis Jerk Shack is a true representation of what Jamaican Cuisine has to offer. And the passion that the chef and his wife displays shows in the food they serve! My wife and I enjoyed a plate of Jerked Chicken and Curry Goat along with the Mac and cheese that was absolutely out of this world! Only a few bites into our meal and we were planning another visit! As tender as the Goat was I CANT WAIT to taste the Oxtails! This is as close to Jamaica as you can get without taking the trip. Thank you to the Chef and his wife for sharing your culture with us! Update, 1/6/2024 : Came back for the Oxtails! BEST oxtails Ive ever had, wish I could add another ⭐! Share this spot with everyone you!
