"I’ve been going to this salon to get my hair cuts. I booked an appt about a week and half ago and 15 mins before my appt i get a text that my appt was canceled. I called the store and an associate answered, she told me she saw that my appt was cancelled and was going to ask the stylist. Next thing i know, she transferred me to a different store. I had to hang up and call again. Once i did the brow lady answered. She was very sweet and offered to see if she could find me another appt for today, at this point i was already upset and declined her offer. Ulta, don’t let your stylist cancel appts last minute and not even give the client a call to tell them it’s going to be cancelled. If this was an instance where the stylist was over booked then this should’ve been reviewed days before my appt. I am so disappointed that i don’t see myself going back."

"I had scheduled an appointment for the salon service and it was AMAZING! For starters the appointment was easy to make online, very user friendly. Secondly, my stylist Chelsea was outstanding! I had really long hair with pieces to fix from a previous stylist (not from Ulta). I needed the whole works! She was able to cut my hair exactly how I wanted, provided a treatment for my hair and did an all over color. She took the time to listen to what I wanted a she delivered. I will continue going to Ulta as a regular customer and to get hair services by Chelsea. I highly recommend her."

"You pay for what you get… My mom and I went for hair blowout and make up for my son’s wedding. It was a last minute solution that I have terribly regretted. My mom needed a simple blowout with volume, but instead the stylist who was new and very inexperienced did the opposite. Her coworker offered her one of her volume enhancer spray and she didn’t know how to use it. After the third attempt I had to get up and finish my mom’s hair myself!! The manager instead of finding out what was going on in a condescending way told me that the stylist could do what I was doing… she couldn’t…. They didn’t have hair products to use either. Anything needed for the style had to be purchased first. My hair stylist was a little better but was more concerned about how much I was going to have to pay if I got a shampoo and curls versus a formal without washing my hair. This was not explained to me when I booked the appointments over the phone. I wanted long wavy curls to put my hair up in a simple bun. I Instead I looked like a poodle. Of course the expectations have to be managed, but I was very disappointed to see that something so simple turned out to be a total disaster. My hair appointment and make up appointment were double booked, therefore I wasn’t able to get my make up done. My mom’s make up came out ok. At least you could see that the make up artist made an effort. I shouldn’t had paid for my mom’s hair, but with the stress of making it to my son’s wedding on time I didn’t even think of it. I blame the management and training in that store. I will not go back and I do not recommend the salon services to anyone."

"Poor customer service. Nobody offers to help, need more staff. I went there and someone asked if I needed help and I said and they said someone wud be with me. Half hour and no one. I actually put back things I was going to purchase because I’d rather go to Sephora . They need to do better and actually help their customers- store is too big to not offer that"

"Ariel was the sweetest. He was very friendly even though at first I was rubbed the wrong way from the other employees, due to not being acknowledged while standing at the online pick up counter. It wasn’t a big deal simply because it was only for a few seconds but an “One moment.” would’ve been nice. Other than that I love how I was in and out the store in roughly 3 minutes. Ariel verified my idea just to make sure and I appreciated that. Nothing too complicated so I will definitely be ordering online again."
