This 183,500-gallon pool features six lanes, a diving board, and depths ranging from 3 feet 6 inches to 11 feet. In addition to offering swimming lessons, Aqua Aerobic classes, and programs by The Arthritis Foundation, the pool also provides ADA accommodations for all visitors. In 1986, heaters were installed to warm the water during the winter months, making Pine Island Community Pool the first in Lee County to offer such a feature. The facility's lifeguard staff are certified through the StarFish Aquatic Institute, and the learn-to-swim instructors are certified through the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Program.

The library found its first home in the building now known as The Museum of the Islands, before moving to our current location in 1986.
