Persimmon Park - ICI Homes

"From the two builders at Persimmon Park, we chose ICI, even though they were the most expensive, because we could customize our home. The building process had some issues from the beginning. During the sales process, we paid extra to have an upgraded kitchen similar to the one in the model house, but we were never told we had to pay even more money for the fridge side panels, which were an integral part of the kitchen in the model home. The house building moved very fast, but when the house was finished, there were multiple issues and many poor finishing details. The kitchen island quartz was cut too short. The kitchen cabinets were damaged and they had to replace some doors and repaint some cabinet panels. The finish carpentry and inside paint were subpar. They cut the door trims and baseboards too short and just filled the gaps with caulk, and the woodwork was painted without any preparation. You could see and feel the defects and the dust on the finished woodwork. These are a few examples. The poor finishing details didn't reflect the considerable amount of money we paid for the house. It seems some of the people they use are unskilled and it is reflected on the quality of work they do. They don't have an eye for good finishing details, but it also shows there is little/no quality control on the builder's side. To ICI's credit, they have been addressing most of our concerns, but this has meant we have people in our house almost every week doing things, which has become an inconvenience. Adding to our dissatisfaction, we've been having plumbing issues for three months, since we moved in, and ICI has been of little help in addressing them. This whole experience has been frustrating and a little stressful, something I never experienced on a previous build. I have no plans of building another house any time soon, but if I did, I would consider another builder."

"Very sad to see a blatant fair housing violation before my eyes and to be a victim of it. Walked in and was told the models were closed today. As we were about to walk out another couple walked in raving about how beautiful the model house the primrose was. Lol. so we went to go to the model and the employee kicked us out!! As someone who works in housing this was shocking to see. This individual seemed to have no fair housing training and displayed clear and embarrassing discrimination. Most likely will pursue legal action because this experience was unacceptable."

"A great quality builder. As you walk through the model homes you can see the difference. The use of space is well thought out and functional. Builders allow you to pick you tile, paint etc but they go a huge step further. They allow customization of your floor plan which is very unique."
