UF Baby Gator at Newell Drive is a part of the UF Early Childhood Collaboratory, serving children ages 6 weeks to young 3 year olds whose parents are students or faculty in specific colleges at the University of Florida. Located adjacent to UF Health, this center is in the process of renewing its NAEYC accreditation and is a school readiness center. The institution is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the community, ensuring that children are prepared for success in school and beyond. Priority enrollment is given to parents affiliated with the Colleges of Medicine, Public Health and Health Professions, and Pharmacy, but children from the Gainesville community may also be enrolled on a space available basis. Siblings of enrolled children are given priority on the waiting list, and children can be placed on the list as early as conception. The center offers a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
