Luxury Scotland Tours
“We had an amazing trip with Luxury Scotland Tours this fall! Rebecca who helped us plan the trip was very communicative and listened to our requests and preferences and integrated them into our custom trip. We couldn’t have a asked for a better driver, Dave! Very professional, kind, and engaging. Our trip gave us a fantastic overview of Scotland incorporating Edinburgh, the highlands, Isle of Skye and more. The hotels, dinners, tours, and activities were all perfect and made us really love Scotland! Highly recommend for such a seamless and bespoke trip! Thank you Luxury Scotland Tours!”
A wee pedal
“What a great service is A Wee Pedal. Leanne is amazing and helped my two boys, 7 and 4 to learn to ride their bikes. My 7 year old was very used to his bike with stabilisers but just not ready and preferring his scooter. My 4 year old was quite confident in his balance bike but never pedaled before. Leanne helped both to be confident, to have fun when learning and they just progressed with each lesson! If like me you are reading reviews to check if this could help your child, I can assure you they are just the best!”
Alba Game Fishing Ltd
“Had a fantastic day out with Stewart and Cuillin on their grayling skills masterclass on the River Tweed. These guys know their stuff and are very patient, encouraging teachers and guides. I am a better fisherman from spending a relaxing enjoyable and fun day with them. Thank you both and I will definitely be back. I would highly recommend Alba Game Fishing.”
Discover Scotland Tours Ltd
“Terrific experience & highlight of our UK trip. We took a 1-day tour to Glenfinnan Viaduct from Edinburgh. Pros: Small coaches keeps the group size small, thoughtfully crafted routes with time for exploring the best places and getting photos, Scottish music, plenty of history, and knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Cons: There honestly were none! Only thing we regretted is that we couldn’t carry on with our tour guide Frank for longer. The tour was a full day of adventure that never felt like it dragged on and we were sad when it was over. We could have continued exploring Scotland with Frank for days on end. Thank you, Discover Scotland Tours, for the incredible adventure!! We will definitely explore more of Scotland with this company on future trips.”
Nordic Visitor UK & Ireland
“I had the best time on my tour of Scotland. The hotel bookings were just awesome, the tour itself was just the best. There were plenty of places to visit each day, so one could kind of pick and choose, which was really nice. I had the best guide, he really knew his history, and so the entire trip went without a single hitch. I highly recommend Nordic Visitor to anyone contemplating a trip to Scotland.”
The Hairy Coo - Scotland Tours
“I had a great day trip through the Highlands and to Loch Ness with the Hairy Coo! Ryan our driver and guide was excellent and kept us well entertained on the long drive with some interesting bits of local history, jokes, and music to sing along to or just to listen to and enjoy. It was a really long and exhausting day but the stops along the way for pictures and quick breaks as well as Ryan's energy really kept the group going! What a beautiful day out, I would've loved to explore more of the Highlands - maybe I'll book a longer tour another time! My only suggestion would be to offer these trips in smaller groups, less people would make for a more intimate and personal experience and a smaller vehicle would probably allow more access to some locations. Overall, a great trip though and can only highly recommend it!”
Tierras Altas Escocia Ltd.
“It was worth getting up early to make this spectacular start. We took the tour to Inverness, Loch Ness and the Highlands. It is a long journey but the good weather and especially our guide Fran made it enjoyable and fun. We made several stops so that it didn't get tiresome, discovering stupendous landscapes that look even more beautiful in the sunlight. Not only did he tell us the history of Scotland, how the valleys we passed through were formed, the history of the castles... But he also brought that touch of humor that characterizes him by telling stories as tales and curiosities. Without a doubt, with Fran at the end of the world. Greetings from the Valencians!!”
Escocia Tours
“We did the all-terrain tour with the guide Marta and it was one of the best Freetours I've ever done. He explains everything perfectly and is very dynamic. We will repeat!!!”
Sula Boat Trips
“We had a brilliant time on a boat trip round Craigleith and Bass Rock. Lovely staff and Linda our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing to see so many seabirds, including puffins, and we were lucky enough to also see seals and dolphins! Having admired Bass Rock from the coast for so long it was pretty special to get so close. A fantastic morning, would highly recommend.”
Wee Scottish Tours
“Me and my son took a tour up to Glencoe with Kevin. We really enjoyed the experience. The drive was beautiful. Kevin was very knowledgeable on the history and had a bunch of funny stories to share. I'd highly recommend booking with Kevin when traveling to Scotland! Thank you for the fun experience!!!”
Heart of Scotland Tours
“The 3-days Scotland Highland tour is highly recommended. James is a very nice tour guide. His stories, introduction and music made the tour better than our expectation. The people joined the group are very kind too.”
Scotia Fishing - Guided Fishing Scotland
“I was fortunate to spend a beautiful day fishing for Atlantic Salmon with Callum. He is a professional, safe, knowledgeable, and courteous guide, and a patient and talented teacher. He provided top quality equipment, safe and comfortable transportation, and an excellent shore lunch. I recommend him without reservation.”
McKenzie Cars Private Hire South Queensferry
“I recently hired this company to transport me to and from work in Edinburgh for a period of 4 weeks. The service was excellent: polite, friendly and reliable. The standard of hygiene and sanitising measures in place are of a high standard, so I felt very reassured and safe while travelling. I will certainly hire this company again, and I'm happy to recommend them.”
Edinburgh Group Apartments
“Perfect stag accommodation. 14 guys in total, mostly from Trinidad, had a great time. Staff super friendly and made sure everything ran smooth providing taxis when needed. 24 hour access, great sound system, pool & football table, and two poles on the stage. What's not to like?!?!”
Rabbie's Tours Head Office
“I have done three Rabbie's tours, and each one has been spectacular. The guides know A LOT about Scotland and it's history, so you'll come away not only having seen Scotland but having learned about it as well. I've gone with groups and solo, and have had a great time either way. Shout out to Mac and Willie for being wonderful guides!”
Timberbush Tours
“We just finished our 3-day Isle of Skye tour with Brian Steele who is, hands-down, the best tour guide we have ever had! He shared interesting stories about the places we visited, while always having Scottish music play in the background. He took us to places we would have never found should we have rented a car. The places themselves were all gorgeous, we even got lucky enough to take non-scheduled stops and play in the snow. The best tour with the best tour guide! We have all fallen in love with Scotland and will return to Timberbush, asking for Brian :)”
The Scholar
“This hotel surpassed our expectations. From the welcome to the check out, it was fantastic. The service from the staff was outstanding and our room was beautiful. Then after a wonderful sleep, breakfast was fresh and very very tasty. Altogether a terrific stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you.”
Ramsay World Travel
“Great food, average price. Note if you just arrive for a takeaway it is cash only, to pay by card you have to go via a app like just eat and pay a service charge”
Deep Blue Scuba
“Together with my son, we have followed some courses with Deep Blue Scuba (Dry Suit, Boat and OW). The instructors at DBS are professional, helpful and friendly. They not only train you and let you go through the books, they make sure that after a course you are confident in the skills you were trained for. They provide a lot of support to become a competent diver by training, coaching and guiding you. It's not just card collecting at DBS, they ensure you have all the required skills and offer patience, real live handy hints, tips and pertinent advice. Besides the formal training, they offer a club membership. This membership gives you even more opportunities to train through lectures and club evenings! I can recommend Deep Blue Scuba to anyone of every diving level. Whether you are new to Scuba diving or a seasoned diver.”
Forth Boat Tours
“We choose 3 bridges cruise, is more like cruise around the wee prison/monastery island and then 3 bridges for 15 min, although let's be honest not much to see under these 3 bridges. Loved to trip, choose nice weather for it as in bad weather might not see much. Food and drink available on board.”
Maid of the Forth
“Brilliant trip. Would highly recommend. Easy to book. Decent sized vessel. We were very pleased that the heating was on as it was a tad chilly but the sum came our and we got some wonderful photos. Lovely gift shop and very friendly informative staff. Pre recorded commentary just right, I dislike it when it's constant”
LochNessBus.com
“We had the best time on this tour. I was apprehensive about spending 12 hours - and honestly by 3pm I was pretty sleepy! But it was so worth it!! The highlands are so so stunning!! If you want to see Loch Ness I definitely recommend the boat tour, it’s about £16 I think - bring cash because it’s cash only, your tour guide can hook you up. We sat downstairs for the boat tour and it was really comfy! Took some gorgeous photos and drank some delicious whisky which I really recommend doing. Our tour guide was fantastic, I can’t understand how anyone could have that much energy! I love the way he would tell us stories relevant to the sites we were seeing and then play some lovely Scottish music. It was a really engaging but chill journey. There’s lots to see and stories to hear. William Wallace, Brave Heart, Glencoe Massacre. Absolutely fascinating stuff. We saw some hairy cows, and the seven headed well and the three sisters. Stunning. I travelled as a couple and it seemed like most people did. It wasn’t a particularly sociable tour for solo travellers - most people stuck to themselves but the tour guide was super engaging and available at the stops to take pics and chat, so I don’t think you’ll feel lonely travelling on your own. I wonder whether it’s different in non covid times when being around strangers is chill again. If you’re vulnerable and worried about covid then I don’t super recommend the tour - although it’s totally in line with the government guidelines and I myself felt comfortable. We didn’t need to wear our masks while seated - I mean thank god tbh, 12 hours is a long time - and there weren’t any windows to open other than by the driver. So if that’s something that makes you feel uncomfortable then be aware. I recommend getting there a bit early, and double check with the queue you’re standing with to check you’re with the right group, seems like there’s a couple of tours that leave at a similar time. The pick up place is just on the royal mile at 190 I guess but don’t go down the alley to the lockness bus company itself, the bus is on the road and we meet by the bus. I recommend bringing a travel pillow to support your neck, don’t know why I didn’t think of it!”
Highland Experience Tours
“I booked this tour to see Scotland’s highlands scenery and it exceeded my expectations. Maj was an excellent tour guide, making the quite long journey up north very entertaining and sharing some great knowledge about Scotland’s incredible history. I would recommend anyone to book this tour if you’re looking to see as much of Scotland in just one day.”
Water of Leith Walkway
“We had a beautiful walk by the water! Great scenery, quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Good for the dogs, level enough for prams.”
Craigmillar Castle
“We went for an Easter egg hunt. It was my first time at the castle and I'm very impressed. Its really well looked after and has lots of nooks and crannies, staircases, turrets, and other castley stuff. Great views of Edinburgh from the roof!”
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
“Large, beautifully kept gardens with excellent labelling of plants and explanations. The best way to get there is a 23 bus which stops outside the East Gate. The gardens are free to enter; the glasshouses which are charged for are closed for an extended renovation. It is worth paying £1 for a map at the entrance - a helpful man circled the main places to see at this time of year, some of which we would have missed, such as the Alpine house tucked away behind the area under renovation. There is a great view of the city centre from the hill above the Chinese garden.”
VisitScotland Edinburgh iCentre
“Very friendly atmosphere. We spoke to Andrea who gave us lots of advice and helped us to plan our stay around Edinburgh! Grazie!”
Gray Line Scotland
“Thank you Brian for a great day in the Highlands. From the minute we got onto the bus to the minute we left the information was non stop all day. A great tour guide with a brilliant sense of humour. This was an excellent way to end our trip to Scotland.”
