“All I can say is WOW! From the property grounds to the excellent staff, this castle hotel exceeded expectations. The rooms were spacious and charming, and the common areas luxurious and beautiful. We had breakfast at the castle for two mornings, and the food was delicious. There we met Esther and Doreen who not only provided us with wonderful service, but they helped us find local activities and unique things to explore. Behind the bar at night we met Eddie who was excellent to talk to! We can’t wait to return!”

“I can't fault a single thing. The common areas are tastefully decorated, warm and inviting. The staff are professional without being too formal and very friendly/helpful. The room was super clean and incredibly spacious (i've had smaller apartments). The bed and furnishings were top class and comfortable. The bathroom was hyper clean. The jacuzzi bath and rainfall shower were exquisite. This hotel pays attention to all the small details in a way that anyone else I've stayed with recently, does not come close to. The breakfast was so good with a very solid vegan option. The best breakfast I've had in a hotel potentially ever. Exceptional value for money and I can't wait to return.”

“Lovely atmosphere, beautiful decor and an absolutely delicious meal. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Very low lighting, and romantic, side booths for couples. I enjoyed every part of my meal and had a wonderful time with my partner. I would definitely go again.”

“Situated 5-10 minutes from the city centre depending on traffic. Very beautiful and well kept. Everyone is happy to help and will do anything they can if it's something they can do.”

“The room was great. The parking situation is not great. You park, then go get your visor tag, walk back to the parking lot, and then walk back to the hotel. When you leave, you have to do it all again in reverse. I would stay again.”

“Well, I am laying down in one of their rooms right now. Checked in over an hour ago. I'll update if my experience changes but I doubt it will. THIS HOTEL IS GREAT! Lady at reception provided the best service I have gotten in the 4 hotels I have stayed in. Room has all the same amenities and comforts as others. Even has mini split A/C unlike other 4 star hotels (i do not know if every room has this) Hotel is charming. This place is a gem. Hoping I get an appetite so I can try their restaurant. I'll be having breakfast in the morning here. No parking lot or garage. Need to park down the street. No big deal. Only thing I can possibly criticize so far.”

“Delicious food, friendly efficient staff. We had the tbone steak, pasta and chicken and all were so good. Really good quality steak. The strawberry Pavlova was homemade with a gooey center. Light and fluffy. Highly recommended.”

“Had a lovely one night stay with friends in Killarney Court. It's excellent value for money. We availed of the all in price package .. bed, breakfast, evening meal and treatment. I had a lovely facial. Would recommend!”

“I love this place but there is just one suggestion and that is when staff are clearing and setting tables it would be great if they could use different colour of tea towels I see them cleaning tables with spray and then setting tables and wiping cutlery with maybe same tea towel and also not to spray tables when tables are half set as spray goes on cups and cutlery that are left on table.”

“It might be a 2 star establishment, but Matthew is a 5 star proprietor! Such a caring and kind person who genuinely cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to make sure they have a nice stay. As a person traveling on a budget it is so wonderful when I find accommodation that is both affordable and clean and comfortable. The rooms are simple yet well appointed, nicely painted and have everything you need. Everything was spotless and the other staff in the hotel were also very nice and friendly. “My family and I just returned from vacation after spending two nights at the Barrow House. From the thoughtfully designed rooms, to the picturesque water views, and the incredibly delicious (and huge!) breakfast, this place is a gem! The Barrow House has been thoughtfully restored, each and everyone one of the rooms has its own personality (you cant go wrong choosing a room!), the communal living spaces are comfortable and beautifully designed. As beautiful as the photos are, they just cant do this place justice! It is stunning. The host and owner, Daragh, is so lovely and gracious. She made sure every detail of our stay was perfect, truly above and beyond. We took day trips on our stay- to Dingle, Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry - this is an ideal place to stay for a few nights, central to it all. Cant thank Daragh enough for a wonderful stay - we hope to come back one day! Amazing place to stay for families, couples, golfers (Tralee golf club is a minute up the road and incredible!) - really anyone would love their stay here!”

“Amazing place to stay in Kerry. It's about 15-20 minutes walk into Tralee and a 4 minute drive, we got a taxi for 7 euro. We also drove from here to Dingle which was about 40 minute of a drive. The accommodation is spotless and really nice. The guy really looked after us, he was very friendly and charming man. He offered great advice too. The breakfast was amazing, I was blown away by the quality. I'd definitely stay here again. Thank you so much.”
