“Exceptionally warm welcome with tea and scones after a long day of driving we were given our choice of rooms. One with a nice study desk and another with sea views to Beara Peninsula. The bed was comfy and the room spotless. Beautiful grounds with a number of outdoor tables and chairs. Breakfast the following morning was phenomenal. We really hope to visit again.”

“The owner and the staff we very welcoming. It is a family run buisness which has been passed down through the yrs. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definetly go back there.”

The food is excellent, fresh and local and plenty of choice. It’s is simply not in me to give a perfect review so here goes; What is it with Cork and small sausages!!??? Get some big Dublin bangers in then this place is faultless! Will be back!”

“One of my favorite places to stay in NY! The staff is unbelievably nice. Very cool lobby. Room and view was perfect and unique. Conveniently located across from Chelsea Market and the highline. Highly recommend!”

“Going to Glengarriff is always a treat. We went to the Hotel while passing and asked if we could have breakfast there. It was not a problem at all. They accomodated us without any problem. Breakfast was superb and I would go back any time. Coffee was not so tasty but the view and staff made up for it. A great experience.”

“Only €10 to park up in the motorhome area which is great but it's extremely basic and has no facilities other than water. Great location, quiet, and you can pay to use their gym and leisure facilities for a shower etc. Food in the restaurant was great too. Highly recommend this spot for camper vans. With a bit of investment they could turn their motorhome area into something great.”

“We stayed here in order to be close to our grandparents who live down the hill and it was the most stunning stay! We could not believe the incredible views from the lodge. It was so warm and had all the facilities that we could need and more. The size was lovely, Nora was amazing. Thank you for having us! So beautiful and we hope to be back soon!”

“We had the most wonderful time at Westerly house with family in August. The house is beautiful, great space for everyone to come together and rooms to allow for some quiet time. We got great use out of the outdoor canadian hot tub, such a great facility to have! Equally the kayaks, we were out nearly twice a day on the kayaks... The children especially loved jumping off the pontoon into the bay. Al of the bedrooms are gorgeous but the Victorian White bedroom is a showstopper... Absolutely stunning... The gardens are also really well maintained.. we enjoyed exploring all the books and crannies.. Overall we would highly recommend Westerly house for an amazing stay in West Cork.. I only wish it was pet friendly so we could bring the canine family member too !”

“We left our 2 year old golden retriever here for the weekend and he was really happy. I’ll definitely be using this kennel again when we travel to west cork. Margaret was so lovely to deal with and sent us a video and pictures over the weekend to let us know he was settling in well. She has her own dogs which she introduced our dog to first and that really settled him down. The kennels looked spacious and clean and there is loads of farm land around for dog walks. Delighted to have found this kennels.”

“The B&B is not only beautifully situated, it is also run with great care. Extremely comfortable beds, stylish furnishings and a modern bathroom ensure a wonderful night's sleep. There is also a great breakfast in the morning. The hosts help wherever possible - they also pick up hikers and take them to the next stage. We felt completely comfortable!”

“I loved staying in the Ahakista Lodge, perfect place to explore Sheep's head. The room was fabulous and the breakfast delicious. The owners could not have been more helpful from restaurant recommendations and lending me a bottle opener, they could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Really looking forward to coming back”

“Jennie was the perfect hostess. The breakfast offered is hearty! The rooms are clean with bright decor. Near a beautiful view of the ocean. The wifi is a little spotty but that should not be a problem if you are looking for a restful getaway.”

“Very dog friendly. Fantastic views. Mike and Julia were excellent hosts and made us very welcome including the dog. Access to kitchen at all times to make a coffee or tea was a bonus especially the jar of homemade flapjacks. Would definitely recommend”

“Just back from a great stay here. Siobhan is a brilliant host, so friendly and welcoming. We had a beautiful room with a great view of the bay, a view that changed so much morning to evening it was like staying in a different room. The bed was so comfortable and every detail was thought of, like providing wine glasses, bottled water and a coffee machine and selection of herbal teas in each room. The breakfast was fantastic, beautiful, locally sourced bacon and eggs and the bread was out of this world. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.”

“We stayed here for our most recent trip to Glengarriff parkrun, this b&b is in a superb location with half a mile from both the parkrun & pubs. The b&b is located on the river and there are kayaks available to use. The owner puts on a good breakfast and is very approachable and is just a wee dote. Well worth visiting.”

“We stayed here for 2 nights as we were starting the Béara Way trek from Glengarrif. Imelda was such a warm and welcoming host. The B&B is spotless, breakfast was delicious - the best we have had in any B&B in Ireland! Rooms clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Really close to village and beside Eccles hotel. Caters for vegans!!!! Imelda also let us leave our car free of charge for the week while we went hiking.”

“We stayed in the barn at grove house on a Monday and Tuesda in late November. This place is amazing. The Private outdoor hot tub is a fantastic addition to this perfect building. Despite the cooler temperatures we made great use of it, and if the weather had gotten in the way, the double Jacuzzi bath would have made a great substitute. We are already looking at dates for a return trip here. I highly recommend this little peice of heaven in west cork.”

“Honestly, the best b&b I have ever stayed in and there has been alot, firstly the view from the room of bantry bay was out of this world, the room was big, comfy and spotlessly clean. The breakfast every morning was perfect and what can I say about the owners, the lady of the house was such a great host and a great laugh, and her husband was so knowledgeable about the area and great to chat to.i couldn't recommend it more!!”

“I've had the pleasure of using Hagal Farm for hosting massage workshops and they really took such fantastic care of our group that I would not hesitate to recommend it on and it will be my first choice in future. The energy of this valley is magic, and a walk from the farm is both meditative and restoring. The gardens are tended with care, and beautiful herbs and veggies grown on site find their way to the kitchen for wholesome, nourishing meals made with love. Try their refreshing homemade herbal teas! We had the use of several workshop spaces which was fantastic to be able to set up different areas for different uses during the few days. Super hosts were incredibly helpful, I cannot recommend highly enough.”
