“Everything about The SpitJack was enjoyable. The ambience/atmosphere when you walk in is great, a real buzzy space. The interior is so well thought out the details in the decor are fantastic. We were seated upstairs. Staff were extremely courteous and of course the food was excellent. We had a good cross-section of the menu between 4 of us and there were zero complaints. A very worthwhile experience, I'll be back again next time I visit Cork.”

“When I visited, the 'Coming Home' exhibition was on. A very poignant show. I loved the way contemporary pieces and work from the era were shown together. On a different note...super coffee shop, lovely warm day so sat outside and enjoyed delicious quiche and salads. Felt a tad guilty thinking of the famine!”

“Had a beautiful stay at Isaacs for a midweek break , was greeted by friendly polite staff who gave me some great food recommendations and a little city map to show me around .Lucky enough to be surprised with a room upgrade on check in! The room itself was really lovely and neat with a huge big bathroom with a bath, shower and heated tiles .. overlooking their lovely courtyard and waterfall.All in all It was fab ..all the staff where friendly attentive and laid back which made for a really relaxing atmosphere.The cocktail bar below is gorgeous, really interesting and fun decor and menu ..could easily sit all night trying the seasonal concoctions and chatting to the staff ..I can't wait to come back !:)”

“On this trip to Cork we decided to us the The South Mall as we normally stay at The Maldron in John Redmond. The location is just perfect for the town's bars and restaurants. The Check In was was quick and efficient. However, the room allocated to us on arrival was not suitable. We contacted the reception staff who organized an alternate room within minutes. - I was impressed with the new room (the bed was fantastic) and the staff for sorting the small problem out quickly. We only used the bar a couple of times. However, again the staff was obliging and cheerful. The breakfast was very tasty and the selection was very good, this coupled with the breakfast staff who again were very helpful. Thank you The Maldron for making our weekend and kudos to your staff. We'll be booking soon for our next visit.”

“The details and thought behind every aspect is stunning. Great vibe. Food on the rooftop patio was perfect. The gym sauna pool in the morning were great. All in all an excellent experience and very quick walk into the city center. Only downside but not worth docking stars - no parking available on site and the protein shakes after the gym were horrible”

“The attention to detail by the staff here is impressive. Was having a study day and every lsdt thing was done for us. Delicious home baked scones, started our day and we were super impressed. Comfy beds, power showers and great food. Thanks to Chloe, Abby and Susan plus all the many gents for taking care of our wee group.”

“Lovely place, cafe with stunning views and very clean toilets, we walked to the viewing platform, it was a lovely easy walk but don't think the money spent on constructing the viewing area was worth it, you would have had a good view even without that, a fence would have been cheaper”
