The Old Market Bar
● Closed“Myself and two friends had dinner here last Saturday night. Top quality food all round. I had butterflied prawns in batter to start. It was served with a bet of cooked Chinese style vegetables. Highly recommend. Then I had the pork belly for main. This was served with rice and the tastiest selection of vegetables and it was melt in the mouth pork belly. The others at my table had goat's cheese starters and hake main and the prawns as a main. All looked amazing. I'd eat out regularly enough and think this is the best place to eat in Bandon (by far!). For dessert, I had the meringue with cream, strawberry sauce, and ice cream. The meringue was perfectly baked. It was so tasty. It's really reasonable considering how good the food was. Keep it up, Market Bar. I'll be back soon!!”

The range of cakes is superb and all baked on site, fresh each day. Don't be surprised if your bread is still warm from the oven. They do a great milkshake too! A Bandon institution. Lovely staff.”

Niall's
● Closed“A hidden gem. Typically it is normal to expect a satisfactory if somewhat pedestrian lunch meal in a restaurant situated in a shopping centre. However, this place excels itself and sets very high standards to match, let alone beat. Just try their Seafood Linguini and you'll see what I mean. The price tag also does not reflect its beautiful fresh taste...”

The Viaduct Restaurant, Café & Market
● Closed“Brought both my elderly parents here for lunch. Foods was fabulous and the price. We got 2 soups with the most delicious brown bread. A sandwich which was full with cheese and ham. A Caesar salad with extra chicken. A cheese cake which my young son loved. Two cappuccinos and a pot of tea, 1coke and a glass of wine€54. I will most definitely be back!! Bathrooms were spotless and the young girl serving us with her bright pink hair was so accommodating.”
