Homewood Suites by Hilton Hartford - Farmington

"I'm a little disappointed. Had a coffee maker in the room. No coffee pods !!! Went to the front desk for some, and they couldn't find any to give me. The fitted bedsheets didn't fit. I got up several times and had to try and fix them. No dish sponge at the sink to wash two dishes and 2 forks. So we left them in the sink. Couldn't see putting them in the dishwasher... Other than those little things, it was ok...."

"We loved our stay! Our family of 4, my sister-in-law and her family of 5, and my in-laws stayed for Thanksgiving. It was totally swamped with vacationers as well as a traveling hockey team and their families, but the staff there rode the wave and had smiles on their faces the whole time. Most notably Shannon at the front desk and Aaron the night guy really made it a great stay. Small things like a smile and a hello or coordinating a soup and beer/wine night made the stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend!"

"I’m 14 days into a 30-day stay. Despite daily housekeeping advertised at the front desk, my room has not had a full clean in 14 days. I was provided clean towels on day 5 and my trash was removed on day 7, but that is it. On day 13, I requested a full clean and was told it would happen. It didn’t. That night I requested a full clean for today, day 14. Again, it didn’t happen. The overnight desk employee said all he could do was leave a note for housekeeping. This is despite the fact that my room has been unusable to me for 2 days because I’ve been out of it from 8a-8p to allow housekeeping to clean. If this continues, I’ll unfortunately be taking my business somewhere else for the remaining 2 weeks of my stay. Not for nothing, I’m also Hilton Gold (2nd highest tier) so this is how they treat high-tier loyalty members as well."

"As a Diamond Status member, I paid my $70 pet fee and selected a room on the 3rd floor, because I knew my 6-pound cat would not be a bother to anyone, and I prefer a higher interior floor for safety. When I checked in I was told all pets have to stay on the first floor because "people with allergies breathe better on the 3rd floor". I was issued an exterior room on the 1st floor, which I don't prefer for the safety of myself and my child. The hotel is advertised as 100% smoke-free. When I entered my room it was cold because all of the windows were wide open and the stench of cigarettes permeated the room. There were multiple stains on the floor. There was only 1 remote for 2 TVs. Toiletry pump bottles in shower were empty. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet, and a soggy, disgusting coffee pod still in the coffee maker. The front desk attendant said, "I'll make a note of it.""

"We had a great stay here. The people who work at Homewood Suites could not have been nicer, more efficient and warm. The beds were comfy, thick towels, great air conditioning. The free breakfast buffet was wonderful. Freshly made oatmeal, eggs, sausage or bacon, fresh fruits, yogurts, juices, potatoes, toasts, warm muffins and danishes. Just as delicious as a fancy restaurant buffet and with super friendly staff. Plenty of parking, dog friendly. Felt safe. Really the best part was the staff. They were outstanding from Front Desk, sweet housekeeping staff! There is a pool and exercise room which were clean and well run."
