"I've been going to Pioneer for over 5 years as I own a landscape business out here and over the years have seen it dramatically decline in customer care. Between getting charged a loading fee even though we load ourselves every single time to charging us more per weight for rock that they literally called their trash pile then for the Decorative Stone they sell. Seems like they can't keep up with the little bit of demand that actually comes through that place. I remember the day when they used to price match. Then frustrating to continually drive my business to Colorado Materials in Longmont despite how convenient it would be to go to Pioneer. Literally spent thousands of dollars at this place every year and it's become so aggravating going there that we're going out of our way to use other vendors. Plus their biocompost compost is sold as grade A compost which is supposed to meet a legal standard but all it is is grade A s****. Literally reaks of ammonia and is still undergoing composting. It is supposed to be a full finished product."

Boulder delivery was smooth and on-time. Vince and Danny did an AMAZING job of setting our boulders in-place, despite the extra effort it took. "I had a great experience with the on-site staff, but one of my deliveries had some issues. As an aside, it's unclear why two deliveries were needed as the second delivery had very little material (each delivery cost over $100). The delivery driver backed into our pine tree, which not only damaged the tree, but put a bunch of pine needles into the load of river rocks. Which brings me to next big issue, the amount of dirt/sand and gravel in the river rock is nuts. We spent hours cleaning them and still have a ton of work left to do. Remember to factor in the weight of all the dirt and gravel when determining how much you need! Now I'll probably need to go back to Pioneer to buy more matching river rock."
