"Got an autopilot and AI installed a couple years ago. Ran into a couple of squawks and each time it felt like pulling teeth with the owner to get it addressed. For two years after the install my DG was always off by about 15degrees. Turns out the GMU 11 needs to be oriented perfectly with the longitudinal axis of the aircraft and calibration does not correct for this. Secondly, a loose screw in the breaker for the GAD 29 resulted in intermittent error messages for years after the install until I was able to identify the issue."

"I had worked with Freedom in the past--but it changed ownership to Legacy, which is based on the old Turbo West/Stevens hanger at KBJC. I had them install at Garmin 650 and 345 into my Rockwell 690B replacing a Garmin 430 & 345 installation.
