I have a horrible fear of doctors and if it wasn’t for her kindness I may have never had the guts to face another psychiatrist and get the help I now have. "I have been a client of Dr. Terhakopian since 2019. When my previous psychiatrist (Scott McClure) retired, I was disappointed because he was an attentive and talented physician, had taken very good care of me, and had treated me with both respect and kindness. Because I have a disorder that requires consistent medication, I started looking for another psychiatrist. I was running out of medication and had put off looking for another doctor, so I was in a time crunch when I started looking in earnest. I felt very fortunate to come across Dr. Terhakopian's website. I believe he had only recently started a private practice in addition to his work at Parkview Behavioral Services. Because I had been on prescribed medication for a significant amount of time with excellent results, I kind of expected Dr. Terhakopian to do a brief review and just continue the regimen that had worked for me for some time. That was not my experience, however. He was very thorough in assessing my condition and planning my care. After careful review, he continued the medication I was currently taking, for which I am very grateful. He also took the time to address other areas of my life. He seemed genuinely interested in me, my family, and my over all health. Along with medication he encouraged me to do other things that would also benefit me, including various aspects of self care. I have continued to see Dr. Terhakopian since that time and every visit has been the same. I believe he is pleased to see me, and I know I am pleased to see him.
