"Don't always have what you need in stock. 2 weeks in a row and no whole milk that was on sale. Limited bread selection. Get in and out pretty quickly. 6 months later, and no milk once again. How can a grocery store have no whole milk for over 2 weeks?"

"I have been going to Safeway for years; preferring their wide open aisles and friendly customer service over the local City Market just a few blocks away. Today, things changed. When checking out today at 13:05, my cashier - Si - put my bag on the belt and then proceeded to ring up my groceries and let them follow my bag down the belt. When all was rung up, she asked if my bag was going to be large enough for my groceries, to which I responded yes, and she said I'll leave you to it then and went back to her register, leaving me to bag my own groceries. When I asked her if they were no longer bagging groceries, she replied (after a long pause to think about the best way to answer according to her) that there weren't enough boys for the job. I bagged my groceries and left, but have since wondered if Safeway has changed their policy of having the cashier's bag customer's groceries? Or has Si just changed HER policy? All the other cashiers I have gone to always put my bag on the tray by their register and put the groceries in the bag after ringing them up. Seems like a very efficient way. I'm now questioning my loyalty to Safeway and might just have to take my business down the street to City Market. Do better Safeway ... like you used to."
"Our favorite thing to do for birthdays is everyone get an individual slice of cake of their choice! This place had a few gluten-free options, chocolate or strawberry!
