The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs

"We stayed her for two weeks to be near our birth center for the birth of our daughter. (It is only about 5 minutes from Beginnings Birth Center.) For years, I used to travel to different states twice a month for work, and it really takes quite a bit for a hotel to stand out. However, this hotel managed to do so. Pros- 1) Great location, everything is nearby or within 5 minutes or so. 2) I loved the lobby for winter, tons of natural light flooding in, great lobby to meet with family and friends, felt very welcoming and private, yet open. Even has a family room like area that is sunk down with fireplace. 3) Amazing breakfasts, complimentary. Loved the fresh omelets to order, especially. 4) Staff was remarkable. I travel alot, never met another staff like this. They remembered our names and names of our baby as they passed by. So welcoming. 5) Rooms were large and spacious. No, not the newest furniture ever, but everything worked, bed was comfortable, and it had room cleaning (not all do since covid), and was kept clean. 6) Great pool for the family 7) Amazing price for what you get. Cons- 1) Pool kept a little cooler than I wish for little kiddos 2) Ok, everything isn't extremely modern or up to date, but I really didn't mind that, because it was kept clean and everything worked and was comfortable. But if you like all the modern furniture and touches, then worth mentioning. Will definitely be there again and recommend to others."

"My family and I visited from Texas for a few days over Christmas. This was our first visit to Colorado and The Academy Hotel was the perfect place to stay. The bed and room were comfortable. The lobby is inviting and we enjoyed spending time in the evening by the fire place. The breakfast was so good every morning. Both the hotel and the breakfast/dinner staff were kind and helpful."

"This is a GREAT hotel. I've stayed here twice, and both times, I was met with courtesy and professionalism. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast in the morning is outstanding, and I have enjoyed it both of my stays. There is even a breakfast chef to make omelets or eggs to your choice. The property is conveniently located at North Academy and I-25. I highly recommend this hotel."

"My granddaughters and I loved this hotel! It looked a little tired in a few places, but mostly it was beautiful. Nice sized, clean pool in the atrium. In the evenings, the lights are turned low, and the entire atrium turns into a sanctuary. All the stress of the day is gone! Everything was very comfortable, including the couches in the lounge area near the fire place. Breakfast is great, with make-your-own waffles, made-to-order omelets, potatoes, sausage, and a number of other items. Everything was very clean, staff were happy, efficient and helpful."
