“Nicholson Park provides great views over Sumner and a small playground (good swings and a slide) for kids with an amazing scenic backdrop. There was a baby basket swing, too. The vegetation in the park is being worked on since the days of neglect after the earthquakes. Paths down from the carpark to the centre of the park, then to the east, link up with Flowers Track zig zagging down the hill, and Whitewash Head Road, to make a 30 minute loop walk from the park, or could be walked upwards from The Sumner Lifeboat area.”
