This academy offers a single day exploration of three popular welding processes, focusing on shop safety, practical use, machine breakdown, metal prep, and hands-on welding labs. The main goal of the academy is to provide a mindful and inclusive space for women and youth to learn about welding in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Classes at The Exploratory Academy are taught by founder Tiffany Orff, a former college welding instructor who has experience teaching various welding processes in accordance with the AWS D1.1 code. The CFO of Welding Women Syndicate, Veronica Prado, also assists with teaching and organizing events. The academy offers private lessons, mommy and me welding art classes, and the opportunity to plan custom social welding events.
