Our mission is to preserve the state's extraordinary biological diversity, protect its most valued natural and cultural resources, and create opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation. Under the leadership of Secretary for Natural Resources Wade Crowfoot, State Parks Director Armando Quintero, and Department of Transportation Director Toks Omishakin, we are taking actions to identify and redress discriminatory names of features attached to the state parks and transportation systems. This initiative aligns with Governor Gavin Newsom's efforts to support equity, inclusion, and accountability throughout the state.
