Dr. Shehnaz Habib is a highly experienced healthcare professional located at 8540 Alondra Boulevard in Paramount, California. With over 20 years of experience in clinical, managerial, and teaching roles, Dr. Habib has worked with various hospitals and health centers in senior positions to improve patient health outcomes and enhance overall organizational performance. She has served diverse populations including Latino, African American, Caucasian, Indian American, Asian, and Indian communities, with a focus on providing care to low-income individuals and families. Dr. Habib is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujrati, and Sindhi languages. She completed her medical education at M.B.B.S. Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and pursued further training in Internal Medicine at Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Habib also completed residencies at Michigan State University and Brooklyn Hospital Center.

After completing his Internal Medicine training at UC-San Diego Medical Center, he served as Chief Resident at the University of Hawaii’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. His specialized training in Allergy-Immunology was completed at The UCLA Veteran’s Affairs Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Welcome to the Gardena Mayme Dear Library, a cherished community hub located at 1731 West Gardena Boulevard, Gardena, California. As a proud branch of the Los Angeles County Library system, we offer a rich history and a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of our patrons. Our library's story began under the guidance of the Wednesday Progressive Club before becoming part of the Los Angeles County Free Library in 1914. After a brief jurisdictional change, we returned to the County System in 1951. The current building, dedicated on December 5, 1964, was renamed in 1992 in honor of Mrs. Mayme Dear, a devoted volunteer whose legacy continues to inspire.
