Hot Springs Cut-off Trailhead
β ClosedThe Hot Springs Cut-off Trailhead is a popular tourist attraction located at 3415 Hot Springs Road in Markleeville, California. The campground is currently closed for the season, but reservations for the next season can be made on Reserve California's website. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed in the hot springs pool complex. Visitors can reserve campsites and lodging up to six months in advance, with winter camping available in the picnic area starting on October 25, 2023. Bear activity is common in the area, so all food and scented items must be stored in the provided metal food lockers both day and night. There are no hook-ups or dump stations in the park, and camping is generally available year-round. The park offers a variety of day use activities, including picnicking, hiking, and swimming in the mineral pools. Interpretive programs are available during the summer season.
