Santa Cruz Metro offers weekend service to the park with Bus Route 35, making it easy for travelers to access the park from various locations. The bus stop is conveniently located across the street from the former park headquarters building. Visitors can check the Santa Cruz Metro website or smartphone apps for the most up-to-date information on routes, schedules, and fares. The Metro customers can park for free at the Scotts Valley Transit Center and ride directly to Big Basin on Route 35B, which stops in the park five times a day on Saturdays and Sundays from March through September. Each metro bus is equipped with a front-mounted bike rack that can hold up to three bikes, free for bus riders to use. Bikes are not allowed inside the bus for safety reasons.
