The Griot Theatre Company, located at 150 Harbor Drive in Sausalito, California, is more than just a theatre company. It is a collective of artists, educators, and entrepreneurs dedicated to celebrating and showcasing brown and black culture through the arts. As the Griots of our time, we are storytellers, artists, and historians, responsible for preserving and promoting our rich cultural heritage. Our organization works with artists of all ages, from fifth grade to adulthood, with a focus on supporting brown and black artists in Marin. We collaborate with local agencies and individuals to preserve our community's artistic traditions and histories. Our programs aim to sustain our artistic pipeline and uphold our mission.

Horizon Community School is an innovative educational institution located at 630 Drake Avenue in Sausalito, California. Our school is the result of a unique partnership among Marin Horizon School, Sausalito Marin City School District, Marin Community Foundation, and other community organizations. At Horizon Community School, we prioritize diversity and strive to provide quality early childhood education to underserved communities in Marin County. Our Montessori-inspired curriculum fosters cognitive, social, and emotional development in a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and healthy routines.
