Horizon Community School

Horizon Community School is an innovative educational institution located at 630 Drake Avenue in Sausalito, California. Our school is the result of a unique partnership among Marin Horizon School, Sausalito Marin City School District, Marin Community Foundation, and other community organizations.

At Horizon Community School, we prioritize diversity and strive to provide quality early childhood education to underserved communities in Marin County. Our Montessori-inspired curriculum fosters cognitive, social, and emotional development in a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and healthy routines.

We believe that education is a cooperative effort between families and educators, which is why we offer monthly family activities and educational programs to support learning both at school and at home. Our culturally competent program includes activities to enhance practical life skills, language and mathematical development, and sensory exploration.

Currently, we are accepting applications for children aged 18-36 months who reside in Marin City. Tuition is determined by household income, ensuring that our program remains accessible to all families. Our goal is to advance educational equity and social justice through community partnerships, transformative leadership, and a commitment to kindness and cultural diversity.

Horizon Community School is expanding its reach and impact this school year by securing state funding, breaking ground on a new campus, and providing growth opportunities for staff and parents.
