Located at 8161 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, the Storer House is a stunning example of Frank Lloyd Wright's Mayan Revival-style architecture. Built between 1922-1934, it is one of four textile block houses designed by Wright in Southern California. The unique feature of the Storer House is its richly textured concrete walls with multiple patterns on its blocks. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Storer House is privately owned and showcases Wright's innovative modular construction system. The residence, built on a steep hillside in the Hollywood Hills, was compared to a Pompeiian villa at the time of its construction. After falling into disrepair, Hollywood producer Joel Silver purchased the house in 1984 and undertook a meticulous restoration project with the help of Wright's grandson and the Los Angeles Conservancy.
