Lake San Marcos
Lake San Marcos is a picturesque unincorporated area located in San Diego County, just a short drive away from La Costa Spa and the Pacific Ocean. The 80-acre lake, originally purchased and expanded by the Frazars in 1963, offers a tranquil setting with stunning views of Cerro de Las Posas mountain and the San Marcos mountains. The natural Pacific breezes keep temperatures pleasant year-round, rarely exceeding 80 degrees. Residents of Lake San Marcos enjoy a close-knit community atmosphere, with events such as community garage sales bringing neighbors together. Joining the Community Association for just $75 a year helps support the upkeep of this idyllic community, making it one of the most livable areas in Southern California. Whether you're looking to sell a few items or simply enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape, Lake San Marcos offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
