The place it's self is definitely nostalgic but it definitely needs an update. I definitely wish these two siblings the best and hope to see new locations open up in the future."

"30 years ago these were everywhere. Now there are very few of these in existence. There are 2 in southern California that I am a aware of. The chicken and mash potatoes haven't changed over the years . Pioneer has one of the best fried chickens I've ever had. The batter is flavorful and extra crispy. The mash potatoes has a chicken gravy that.has a simular flavor to the lipton chicken noodle soup."

"I grew up on Pioneer Chicken and it's been years since I've had. Wanted to go for nostalgic reasons. I got the 2 piece meal with a breast, wing and 2 sides, mashed potatoes and coeslaw. It was delicious and all that for under $10. Tables were clean and service was great. It was awesome to enjoy a place from the past!"
