While initial plans for a full-service park were revised due to geotechnical challenges, the reimagined park now offers a diverse array of amenities that cater to outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.
Banyan Park
Banyan Park, located at 3605 Erinlea Avenue in Thousand Oaks, California, is a charming park and tourist attraction managed by the Conejo Recreation & Park District. Established in 1967, it features gently sloping turf, play areas, gazebos, picnic tables, and barbeques, making it a perfect spot for families and friends to gather and enjoy the outdoors. The park also includes a restroom building, recreation walking path, and a large parking lot for convenience. In 2017, the northern section of the park was developed with additional amenities such as a shade structure, picnic tables, benches, and an outdoor gathering/classroom area. The park also boasts multiple walking paths, drought-tolerant landscaping, and a passive turf area. Visitors can also access Banyan Elementary School via walkways throughout the park. Banyan Park is open daily from 7:00am to 10:00pm, providing ample opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
