Miracle on 4th Street Park
Welcome to Miracle on 4th Street Park, a charming oasis nestled in the heart of Long Beach, California, located at 1518 East 4th Street. As the city's pioneering mini-park, it represents a successful initiative to create green spaces in areas lacking recreational facilities. Born from a collaborative effort between the city, Leadership Long Beach, and the local community, this park is a testament to the power of community spirit and innovation. Established in November 2000, Miracle on 4th Street Park was developed through the dedication of the Leadership Long Beach class of 2000, who engaged the community through public meetings, fundraising, and a park-naming contest at Burbank Elementary School. With contributions from the Job Corps and the Conservation Corps of Long Beach, the park was transformed into a vibrant space featuring a playground, bench seating, lush turf, a stunning mural, and diverse landscaping.
