San Francisco SPCA Spay & Neuter Clinic
The San Francisco SPCA Spay & Neuter Clinic, located at 201 Alabama Street in San Francisco, California, provides affordable spay and neuter services for pets. Their experienced veterinary team ensures quality care, using local anesthetics when appropriate to minimize stress and ensure smooth recovery. Patients recover in a cushioned, warm environment and receive cones, post-operation pain medication, and nail trims. Additional services such as microchipping, umbilical hernia repair, and surgery for undescended testicles are available at an extra cost. On the day of surgery, cats are admitted between 7:30am and 8:00am and must be confined to a carrier, while dogs are admitted between 8:00am and 8:30am and must be on a leash. Release time for all animals is 5:00pm, and owners are advised to allow 30 to 45 minutes for important post-operative home care instructions. All fees must be paid at check-in, and proof of income is required for eligibility for the sliding scale.
