The Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center, located at 1045 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach, California, is a health institution dedicated to providing a bridge to healing for survivors of trauma and violence. In response to COVID-19, the center has implemented new protocols for reaching therapists and inquiries, including leaving a voice message or emailing the center. The mission of the LBTRC is to enhance the quality of life for diverse survivors of trauma and their families by offering mental health care, advocacy, outreach, education, and evidence-based services. Services at the center are provided by clinicians and advanced graduate students specializing in Social Work and Marriage/Family Counseling, under the supervision of faculty in the College of Education.
