Coastal Kids Spectrum

"We have been trying to have records transferred for about a month. Whenever I would reach out, front office was very cryptic and purposely unhelpful. On multiple occasions, they said there was no way for us to make contact with the records department and they would send a message on our behalf… only to FINALLY be Given a contact and phone number. So, now we know we’ve been lied to. It is very disheartening, and our trust with the practice feels broken. Also, some time ago, we had two appointments at the Spectrum office . A wellness visit for my son and a sick visit for my daughter. We ran late, perhaps two minutes after grace period because our baby had a blow out. I realized we would be past grace period on the first appointment while driving so I could not call (safety first). When we arrived to the office, and after explaining our situation, I was informed by the office manager that I will have to choose which child the doctor will see today. I was floored that they would phrase it in such a way as my children are and their health are equally important. After pleading and asking the manager to go to the back and personally ask Dr. Leon, she finally agreed to go back and ask and came conceding… but curtly told me it could take hours and we will just have to wait and see. I was in no position to argue but the level of service was truly disenchanting. Not to mention the way the women in the front were looking at each other like in a catty way about me and smirking. It was very high school like and unprofessional. For many reasons, not just limited to the above, we have a hard time recommending Coastal Kids. Some of the doctors are okay, but certainly not all are equal. Beware."

"First time patients to coastal kids spectrum location since moving to Orange County . The Clinic is clean and has a sick entry and a well entry side. Kid friendly sea paintings on the walls. Front office staff is welcoming and helpful especially Adriana and Jessica at the front desk reception. Thank you to our nurse Alma for being patient with our daughter as she was very nervous for her check up today . Doctors are very nice and experienced. I look forward to future visits with coastal kids"

"This is an update, I called left a message for a nurse to call back after that morning in office appt on 10/24, my child couldn’t keep anything down and lethargic, today is 10/30 and no one hasn’t called. What a shame. I ended up taking him to the urgent care the next day, I tried calling the office but I hung up after waiting 15 min again. Won’t be going back."

"Nice place/clean and new, the nurse was nice but the doctor (Dr. He) seemed very new and unsure around kids. Would’ve given 1 star if it wasn’t for the sweet nurse… My daughter is 15 months old and has runny nose, congestion and mucus in her eyes . I wanted to make sure it’s not pink eye. Came in for emergency treatment but she only listened to her lungs. Can barely look in the mouth, and mentioned something about eye drops she can give me but she didn’t… when I came back up to the front- no one knows what’s going on. Feels like the office is unorganized. The front office staff was dismissive and look like they didn’t want to be here…"
