Noonan Family Swim School

"My daughter is very afraid of the water due to a near drown experience. We've been going to Noonan for a few months and she's had a difficult time getting in the water. She's very afraid. A nice instructor told us she could play with toys to get her acclimated and told us to just be patient with her. I appreciated that. Today the manager at the Murrieta branch stood over my daughter nearly the whole class, looking at her watch every few seconds. I was confused at first, but realized she was there to be of support to the instructor because my daughter has been struggling. At the end of her class, a young girl with a clipboard came up to me to let me know that the class would be moving quicker now that the other two kids in the class were further along. I asked her what her recommendation was for helping my daughter overcome her fear of the water. Her response, "well, she needs to stop playing with toys and just have some tough love." I tried explaining to her that my daughter has some trauma around swimming and that she isn't playing with toys to be defiant. It was recommended as a method to help her get in the water by another instructor. This lady didn't care and was very clear that my daughter would be forced into the water kicking and screaming or she would be taken out. I obviously pulled her out immediately and my heart is broken for my little one. She needed a school test was patient and kind, and instead she got an instructor that was annoyed with her and staff that treated her as defiant instead of scared. Do not recommend this school at all. Please don't send your kids here if they are scared of the water in any way. I was told "tough love" is how they deal with it. We were not welcome. I"

"Awesome place to take your kids to learn how to swim. The instructors are patient and very informative. My kid has been coming here for a few months and she has built so much water confidence and skills that I dont worry if she was to fall into a pool on accident, that she wouldnt be able to safely get herself out. I highly recommend this place"

"My daughter has been at Noonan since she was 6 months old. She started in the Mommy & Me Splash Babies class and can now swim independently using many different strokes. Ms. Luisa has been our teacher throughout this journey and she has been amazing! Kind, patient, and also firm when needed :) making sure that our daughter continued to make growth over the years. Noonan is a great swim school!"

"I absolutely love Noonan! It’s so family oriented, the staff truly cares about their clients. My daughter Emily and I are doing Splash Babies together and we both enjoy it so much. I enjoy it for our bonding time and she just loves being in the water. Our class is so well organized. We currently swim with Miss Luisa who is an amazing instructor, very thorough with how she describes and demonstrates the skills each class. I have tried other instructors as well who are great and it gives us a different experience and helps Emily to become familiarized with other teachers. We just adore Alyson (Office Admin) and Alyssa (Deck Supervisor) who make us feel so welcome at both check ins. I love knowing that my baby is working on becoming water safe."

"I love NFSS! Their facility is extremely nice and clean. The staff is always really friendly. I have been taking my 3yr old since she was 5 months & my one year old is currently enrolled also. They have been going consistently and their progress is amazing, the teachers work really well with the students to make sure they reach goals to help them become great swimmers. My kids love going!"
