With a structured rank system and specialized units like K-9, bicycle, and motorcycle patrols, we stand ready to respond effectively to any situation.
In line with President Biden’s Executive Order 14074 and the bipartisan Cleland-Dole Act of 2022, we are implementing the use of body-worn cameras. This initiative enhances transparency, builds trust, and ensures accountability while respecting the privacy of the Veterans, families, caregivers, and survivors we serve. Our officers undergo rigorous training to uphold our commitment to privacy and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
We value collaboration with local law enforcement and conduct joint training to enhance our skills and community relations. Our department is continuously seeking qualified applicants with a background in criminal justice or military police experience to join our team. "imagine giving a ticket to a veteran who is trying to go to the hospital for the first time to get help, and adding more stress onto someone who suffers from PTSD, MDD and anxiety! Just for looking at their phone for 5 seconds to make sure its the right address! The police officers name was Benson, good job benson"
