Old Reche Schoolhouse
β OpenThe Old Reche Schoolhouse, located at 1319 Live Oak Park Road South in Fallbrook, California, is a historic institution with a rich heritage. This school was Fallbrook's first, built on land donated by Vital Reche and has connections to William Pittenger, a Congressional Medal of Honor winner and former minister in Fallbrook. The Fallbrook Historical Society, which oversees the schoolhouse, is dedicated to educating the community about the town's history. The society was established in 1976 and has since worked to preserve and share Fallbrook's past. The museum and Pittenger House were acquired in 1981, and the construction of the Donald J. The Fallbrook Historical Society continues to bring the town's history to life through exhibits, events, and educational programs.
