Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School

"This school is awesome and offers many advanced classes. As of the 2nd Quarter alone, there were 374 Honor Roll Students with many being 4.0s. King also is the only public school in the District that offers an Algebra Class to 7th Graders. Keep in mind that only 4.5% of the nation does 7th Grade Algebra with this school being part of it. Everybody here is super nice and the teachers really help you if you don't understand, and even offer any student free after school tutoring in 2 methods. The 1st Method is peer tutorial, were students work in Groups to figure out stuff with 1 Teacher knowledgable on the situation if they need help, and the 2nd Method of tutoring involves College Students who are paid to be there -by the school however, for students it's free- and help multiple students at a time. This school is awesome, and also has the highest test scores in all the district, so you should really consider going here. And for you who like sports, we have a huge field, multiple -like 8- basketball courts, an inside gym -with another basketball court- a Girl's Basketball Team, Guy's Basketball team, Volleyball, Football, and more. And before I forget, I'll mention Fresh Fridays. Fresh Fridays happen every month -as long as the weather is well- at the last day of the month as long as there is school. On Fresh Fridays, lunches are 50 Minutes, and both Lunch periods (4th Period Lunch and 5th Period Lunch) are combined. There are also fun activities like bouncy house fencing and Free Snacks like Popcorn and Otter Pops™. Overall, King Middle School is awesome and also Mr. Wells is a savage."

"As a current student of MLK, I am giving honest information about the school. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School has the best academic learning experience out of all of the middle schools in the Hayward area. MLK is also the only Hayward middle school that offers 7th grade Algebra. The additional classes are extraordinarily enjoyable as well as the required classes, which most might consider to be boring. The staff and administration are one of a kind and unlock each and every student's academic potential. If you are a parent or student and are considering enrolling here, then you are at the right place."

"I still go to this school and I love it this year is my last year and this school left me a memory and a matter of opinion . This school takes kids in and changes them in a way the teachers are very helpful specially mr.king miss. More best funniest teacher their miss. Z . The learning experience is amazing at this school. Yea it had its up and downs but heck we still leaning for our future if a parent is reading this for their kid this is the school for you. "I really like all the technical advantages we have that other schools don't, for example Technology. We also have a very nice campus in which turf is included, nice hallways, and basketball and volleyball courts along with a gym. King also has lots of enrichment such as Spanish, Wood shop. Technology, sports, choir, and band and orchestra. I also like how King meets every students' needs. King also has a lot of ethnicity. They even have programs such as FAMM and they have YEP also. I like how they had College Day and the Secrets play. Overall, King has been a great school both my 7th and 8th grade years."

"This school is very advanced so this plays a major factor into enrolling kids of grades 7-8. King is a very pleasant school with many different classes to choose from my favorites are animation and choir. Knowing no other middle school has animation. Adding on the choir teacher is also from Mt.Eden. This school is obliviously in my opinion the bees knees only some mistakes with bells. But so much makes up for it for example leadership with there noon events ,etc. bottom-line this middle school is just outstanding!!!!"
