HBCU Making Moves College Tour
● OpenHBCU Making Moves College Tour is a university located at 1423 Broadway, Oakland, California, United States. Our institution focuses on exposing students to the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the limitless opportunities that an HBCU education can provide. Founded in 1987 by Carl Ray, the tour has since helped over 5500 high school and community college students experience the culture, history, and traditions of HBCUs. With the support of trusted friends Reginald Braddock, Brenda Long, and John Wright, the tour continues to inspire students to pursue higher education and achieve success. The tour includes visits to HBCU campuses, as well as cultural and historical sites related to African American heritage. Our goal is to instill pride and inspire students to reach their full potential, providing ongoing support and mentorship throughout their academic journey. Kids 1st Foundation, a non-profit organization, presents the HBCU Making Moves Tour, offering students the opportunity to explore and embrace their history, culture, and legacy at HBCUs.
