"The early morning shift specifically is what I'm referring to in this review. From 6am to about 10am .. Horrible horrible horrible everything from the check in window to the triage to the nurses and the doctor.. horrible bedside manner. Not friendly , not sympathetic , didn't seem to care at all that I was in excruciating pain . Had me and everyone else waiting for hours while the doctors and nurses sat around talking about the patients amongst each other as if we couldn't hear them.. patients screaming in pain and given a Tylenol. It was the worst ER. Every single person working in that ER in the early morning has the same horrible attitude and unfriendly demeanor as if they weren't being paid to be there and acted as if the patients were inconveniencing and bothering them.... literally every person in that morning shift should not be working there.. they all seemed to absolutely hate their jobs and it was very disturbing........ No compassion . It was really really sad actually!!"

"On Jan 10-2014 I had very Unpleasant Experience with Nurse Nicola at Lakewood Regional Center Emergency Room I recently had a distressing encounter with a Nurse at the medical center which she told me her name was Nicola at the Lakewood Regional Center Emergency Room. Her behavior towards an elderly African American gentleman was concerning, as she raised her voice and displayed what seemed like disrespectful conduct. Additionally, when I reached out to her for assistance regarding my own concerns after a 4-hour wait, she appeared dismissive and unresponsive. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with the level of care provided. When I mentioned to her that I will be loud about this behavior she seems didn’t care at all and just ignored me. Everybody else including the ER Dr and other nurses were so lovely and nice, during the 9 hours visit the last 4 hours that I had to witness this nurse behavior was painful. I was simply was asking when I’m going to see my result and my Dr?"

"Came here 01/02/2024 with SOB, and a heart rate of 135. The person taking my information couldn’t care less, she was more interested in talking with the EMTs in the back. After filling out the paperwork my vitals were taken. My blood pressure and heart rate were elevated. I briefly talked to the doctor who was very nice and patient with me, the person also taking my vitals was very friendly but from there on everyone treated you like an animal. Waited about 6 hours in the freezing cold only to be discharged by the worst person in the world, she was African American with big bulging eyes. She was rude and condescending, I asked her about my labs and she acted like asked her for her social security. She did not want to answer any of my questions, when I asked about a my ekg she said “you have your labs on paper, you read them yourself” and dismissed me. AVOID THSI PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Disgusting behavior by all of the staff here. If any of the staff that was there that day please choose another profession, I beg you."

"If you want to be seen during a life threatening emergency, do not come here. If you want to be treated with respect and dignity, do not come here. If you want the same respect for your loved one, do not bring them here. If you have any questions concerning your or your loved ones health, do not expect one, instead expect to be treated as a nuisance. We have been here in the waiting room for the emergency room for hours along with 2 families that have been waiting just as long if not longer to be seen. The staff here do not care about their patients, only their paycheck. They have been sitting at front desk, eating food, drinking their ordered cofee, speaking to one another while they have people begging to be seen or even be acknowledged. The nurses treat people as if they carry the plague when they get near or walk past them. This is the second time we have come here for an emergency and it is still the worst hospital to come to in California. You are more likely to end up dying in their waiting room before being seen. Shame on the staff and shame on the people that run this hospital. I hope none of you working at Lakewood Regional Medical Center have to deal with the circumstances you place these poor people under."

"I cannot thank the staff of this hospital more. Especially NICK and Daisy who cared for my father on 2South. I can never express the gratitude I feel. This has been the most trying time of my life and it was made easier because of the compassion and understanding that was shown to me. It wasn't just nurses, everyone I encountered from security, valet, and of course his Dr...a beautiful German lady who's name escapes me! So sorry. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
