REI

"I just discovered my REÍ co op merino wool lightweight hiking crew sock that I bought in Aug, 2022. It is shredding wool/cotton on 1 of the two socks. I only wore it once or twice. I bought it for trips because I expect merino to be quick dry. With this thickness and being crew sock, it will take more than 1 night to dry. I am really disappointed. None of my socks ever had this problem. It will wear out at the heel or have holes but that is after untold number of wear and wash. REI products are expensive so I expect the quality to be top-notch. This and the following examples proof that high price doesn’t equate to top quality. Bridgedale stormscok lightweight ankle socks which is supposed to be water proof but it wasn’t. It is really thick, and hard to dry and not ideal for anything because it makes your feet smell bad. The good thing about REI is the 1 year for member which is very generous. In the future , I would not wait to use it. Buy it and then wear it and then if it doesn’t pass the 1 year warranty, return it. I am disappointed with REI products."

"This REI is near my school and it never failed to disappoint me. Most interactions I’ve encountered within every corner either suggests something to me, directs me immediately to where I want to or better yet sells me the option I didn’t I wanted. I think having people who work here have experience using their products and enjoys it helps with that customer service experience and they’re always kind enough to go out their help you with no charge sometimes for small labors that can be fixed which shows how intentionally they hire they’re workers. This was the first REI I’ve been to and I never stopped coming back."

"REI is probably my favorite outdoor store ever. The staff are always very knowledgeable and they've always got the best quality products. REI own brands are now winning some pretty good awards, so look at some of those for your bargains. The best thing is the friendly and (usually) very accommodating customer service. Their return policy is incredible - maybe better than Costco's! Don't forget if you're a member you also get an end of the year dividend!"

"Great gear selection and always a service with a smile. Very knowledgeable stuff. Two stories of biking gear, hiking and camping. Large variety of shoes too. Great vibe and nice design. They also run yard sales"

"Everyone is always helpful and things are easy to find in an attractive time atmosphere. Parking isn't so great, but there are some REI reserved spots out front that I recommend if you're not visiting the whole mall. Wish it could be cheaper, but what can you do. If you dont know already, you need to be a member. Also, I suggest signing up for emails and waiting for deals to come through to determine when you shop."
