The park is the future site of a neighborhood park funded by a $2.85 million Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program Grant. The park design includes features such as interpretive walking trails, a community garden, picnic and shade structures, pedestrian bridges, exercise stations, ADA accessible play structures, an outdoor amphitheater, restrooms, and more. The final design is expected to be completed in early fall 2023, with construction starting in early 2024. The North Highlands Recreation and Park District is committed to providing accessible facilities and communication channels for all members of the public, including an accessible website and ongoing compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
