Homeless Advocacy Project
β OpenThe Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP) is a legal institution located at 125 Hyde Street in San Francisco, California. We provide legal and social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, with a focus on those with mental health disabilities. Our services include federal disability benefit advocacy, eviction defense, SSI advocacy, immigration documentation, and social service assistance. We take a holistic approach to address the underlying issues that have led to our clients' circumstances, with a focus on helping them secure income and stabilize their living situation. We serve over 1,500 clients annually through our dedicated staff and volunteers. Our hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. for drop-in intake, and specific appointment hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Additionally, we collaborate with ShelterTech to provide the SF Service Guide, an online directory of human services in San Francisco, to help individuals find the services they need.
