"Update: I found out that Mr. Black still charged my legal insurance for completing the work when we only had one phone call and one email exchange. Truly unprofessional! Original Review: I sought Erik Black's legal expertise for a combined family and real estate matter, believing his specialized knowledge would be a great asset. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to several unprofessional behaviors. Delayed Communication: Responses to emails consistently took anywhere from 1 to 5 days, which is exceptionally slow and frustrating in legal matters where timely communication is essential. Lack of Preparation: It was evident during our discussion that Mr. Black had not thoroughly read my initial email, which contained specific questions and a clear statement of my unfamiliarity with legal procedures. This lack of preparation hindered effective communication and understanding of my case. Condescending Attitude: During our interactions, both my partner and I felt talked down to. There was an assumption that we were familiar with legal jargon and procedures, despite my explicit request for clarification in my initial correspondence due to my inexperience with legal matters. No Follow-Up: After our initial discussions, there was a complete lack of follow-up from his side. This 'ghosting' behavior is highly unprofessional, especially in a field where ongoing communication and updates are crucial. My experience with Erik Black was deeply disappointing due to his unprofessional approach, lack of timely and effective communication, and general disregard for client needs. I would not recommend his services for anyone seeking legal assistance in family or real estate law."
