My cat suffers from anxiety and everyone was so helpful - from allowing me to reschedule, to providing a welcome environment for him when we arrived. He received great care from the Doctor and staff. "My cocker spaniel was in two abusive homes before we rescued him. He was afraid of everything and everybody. The wonderful people at Westchester Vet were so kind, loving, and compassionate to him he stopped being afraid and I am able to bring him there with no muzzle and no problems. "UPDATE: It took weeks of following for each of my 3 dogs to get their medical records. They won't take responsibility and claim it's my new vet's technology that's causing records to not get delivered.i don't know who to believe, but I advise everyone to avoid this vet. ---- AVOID!!! Go to Modern Animal. A few years ago, I was telling every pet owner I knew to come here. They USED to be an amazing veterinary office. No longer. The staff is rude. The staff lies and gossips about customers they don't like in front of other customers. The doctor won't return calls for WEEKS. They got rid of the MRI machine when they bought the practice from Dr. Yoo, the former owner of Westchester. The entire reason I went to Westchester was the fact that emergency imaging was available. Dr. Yoo had saved one of my dog's lives years ago precisely because Westchester Veterinary had their own MRI machine and we were able to get a diagnosis in hour rather than days. But now, they're like any other vet office. A couple months ago, we switched 2 of our dogs over to Modern Animal and the experience just blew our minds. The receptionists, vet techs, and veterinarians are all so friendly and welcoming. They never scoff at us when we have a question. They never gossip about other clients in front of us. They actually listened and followed my instructions to always support my dog's hind end when he's being lifted. He has had back surgery and is at risk for permanent paralysis if not carried properly. Modern Animal has been more than happy to carry him properly or to get on the floor to examine him. Westchester Veterinary acted like I was being ridiculous and ignored my instructions, even after I specifically had them add it as a special note to his file. Modern Animal has a no fear policy and will spend as much time needed to trim my dog's nails. Westchester doesn't because $$$ is all they care about."

"I haven't experienced a business with such wonderful staff in years. We came in for a last minute/same day appointment for a health issue that our primary vet could not accommodate on their schedule this week. From receptionist, to vet techs, to vet, the staff were so incredibly kind, communicative, attentive, and thorough. They spent over 30 minutes with us doing intake, talking to us about our pup's symptoms, examining him, and making recommendations for treatments, medications, and next steps. I thought the costs, while not cheap (I don't expect cheap), were pretty moderate and reasonable - $80ish exam fee that was well worth it. It's reassuring to know we have a secondary vet in the area that is available and great! I hope we don't have to come back, but I'm sure we will again, and I know we'll be in great care!"
