Reid-Baldwin Adobe
The Reid-Baldwin Adobe, located at 107 South Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia, California, is a museum that is currently undergoing restoration thanks to funding from the Moonlight Forest Lantern Festival. The restoration project, scheduled for completion in early 2022, aims to restore the Adobe to its appearance in 1900 when Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin resided there. The project includes enhancements such as new windows, doors, and a pitched roof, as well as restoration of the brick apron and veranda stairs. The landscape surrounding the Adobe will also be partially reconstructed. The Adobe, originally known as the Hugo Reid Adobe, has a rich history dating back to the early rancho era in California. The restoration project, funded by a grant from former Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, is a milestone in historical preservation and education at the Arboretum.
