Owned by childhood friends Alex Noormand and Tracy Clark, Yellow Belly Tap is the culmination of their years of experience in the food and beverage industry. The restaurant is closed on July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, but has special hours on New Year's Eve where it is open for lunch only. The name "Yellow Belly" is inspired by a North American woodpecker that drills holes in trees to obtain sap, much like the beer on tap at the restaurant.
