Welcome to the Clifton M. Brakensiek Library, a cornerstone of the Bellflower community located at 9945 Flower Street, Bellflower, California. Proudly serving residents for over a century, our library is deeply rooted in history, having opened its first branch on March 11, 1914. Named in honor of Dr. Clifton M. Brakensiek, who generously donated the land for the library, our current facility has been a hub of knowledge and community activity since its dedication on August 16, 1975. At Clifton M. Our library was a pioneer in library technology, serving as the Automated Circulation System pilot site and the first County library to implement an online circulation system in 1989.
