"I have booked Pretty Star to braid my daughters hair a few times and the braids were done very nicely each time. No complaints there…. The issue is the $25 appt booking fee … before, the $25 was a Deposit which was credited to your appointment, but now it’s a fee JUST TO BOOK an appointment. Non refundable and Doesn’t go towards your appointment! I can understand charging a deposit to book, but a $25 booking fee is excessive and definitely going to lose this place business."

"Unfortunately I did not have a very positive experience. I booked online and was notified that there was a 25 dollar charge to hold my place that would not go towards the cost of services. I was okay with doing so considering the numerous positive reviews from people and I like the location is close to home. The day of my scheduled appointment I received a phone call saying that I had an appointment scheduled for 3:30 and asking if I could come in early. I told the young lady that I had an appointment scheduled for 4 and I received a confirmation for that time. The young lady did not hear me out and told me that I was scheduled for 3:30 and asked if I could come that day at 3:30. I told her I could not come before 4 p.m. She asked if I could come the next day, which I was available for , so I booked for the next morning. While I was fortunate to have been able to come the next day, I could imagine the inconvenience this would cause for someone who had a special event who had to have their appointment changed. I showed up at 9 a.m. for my scheduled appointment and the young lady who was doing my hair arrived after me. The service was okay, she was friendly enough. The retwist turned out nice."

"I just did my hair today and i am more than satisfied. Very professional, the hairdressers are very friendly and smiling. Always making sure that if it is the hair style i had ask. If I am ok with the size. Basically making sure if I am happy with my hair and I really appreciate that. I will definitely share my experience around. Thank you Eve"

"Terrible experience. When I booked the appointment I asked for the salon owner eve. When I get there it’s a different person braiding my hair. You guys could have let me know. If I wouldn’t have asked I would have never knew. The lady didn’t even introduce herself to me with her name. Shop was dirty. When it was time to pay they tried charging me full price. I told them I payed a $25 deposit already… which she should have known. It’s just really unorganized. My hair could have came out better. I had to fix some areas when I got home. 100% don’t recommend. I will never come back."
