"Needs to be cleaner. And their produce always looks poor. Greens that should look crispy and fresh always look wilted. Other produce items look poor also . They are not attractively displayed either. The prices are as expensive as major grocery chain prices. I wanted some of the tamales from the steamer pot once and the man who was going to get them for me, put down a visually dirty cleaning rag that he came from back area with, and proceeded to open the steamer using the dirty rag to open it and then his other hand to get the tamale. No gloves or tongs were used. When I saw that happening, I said No thank you, I change my mind. The store appearance does not look fresh or clean inside. Two other Mexican groceries within 5 minutes drive look well kept always. And staff in those other stores take pride in their store. As for El Ranchito, I no longer go into it."
