"What a garbage Mortgage Company. Lost my hail damage check. Refused to issue me a letter allowing my insurance company re-issue check just in my name so I could get the roof replaced immediately. They have records receiving the check, so why make me go through the process all over again in hopes your company doesn’t lose the check again."

"Worst Bank Mortgage ever. If you are a veteran, no matter the branch, please, I beg you, please do not do any business with this bank; they do not treat veterans well. I am 100% disabled, and they still gave me a high interest rate despite my property taxes for Texas they did not take that into consideration for the home loan that I applied for two years ago. Now, I am trying to refinance my home with another entity, and Fifty Third Bank put on my credit report that my home was affected by a natural/declared disaster, so I could not refinance my home with another institution. After multiple calls begging them to remove it from the credit report, they just sit on the phone and ignore my request. I am waiting for them to do so..."

"I’ve been with Fifth Third for years and I will now be closing my account. They charge nothing but fees. Deposit a check? FEE! Overdraft by a couple cents? $37 FEE! Pull money out of the bank? FEE! On top of that, they lock my account everytime I pay my rent, but the one time there was actually a fraudulent charge of over $600, they didn’t lock my account then said that they will “dispute the charge based on their findings.” They charged a “yearly” fee to my credit card that caused it to overdraft then turned around and charged me an overdraft fee FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY DID! This company is a scam. They aren’t for the people at all, they just care about all that sweet sweet money they make off of the rich, poor, middle class, children, etc. Every single person I know/ have met that have worked at Fifth third have all told me that it is the worst bank to bank with and that they basically are scammers cause all they do is charge fees and do nothing to help you. Everytime I go to my local bank, they are rude and disrespectful and I am just so done with this bank. Have fun making money off of other people cause I will no longer be one of them."

"Don’t use. Fifth Third is a terrible regional bank. My mother moved from Ohio and needed to close the account. I was told it was not possible and eventually had to tie it to a new bank account, transfer 24 cents of interest and then close the account. In total it took three months of calls."

"The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a bank. Read ALL THESE REVIEWS and that should sum it up for you. I deposited a check on 5/17 which I was never credited for and up until I supplied them with a copy of the paid check they kept claiming they didn’t have the money until I got that and they couldn’t lie anymore. Today is 6/4 and these people STILL have not given me my money. Additionally they’re sending threatening letters about reporting me to agencies and blah blah blah ONLY TO REALIZE I WAS RIGHT AND THEY WERE WRONG THE ENTIRE TIME. this bank is absolutely so far beyond a joke it’s crazy. Complaints filed with the BBB, attorney generals office, and FTC. I hope these people get what they deserve for treating people the way they do."
